For what types of organisations have you recruited candidates?
From local suppliers and smaller family-run businesses, companies that have expanded regionally through to national and international brands. I help recruit Warehouse Operatives, Production Operatives Cleaners, Managers, and Forklift Drivers.
What do you think is a key skill or knowledge required to recruit for the Industrial Sector successfully?
It is vital to understand a client's needs, to be able to find the correct skillset and person fit for their role. For candidates, it works the other way, to find them the work they enjoy the most for the company that will offer the best opportunity for them.
Any other sector knowledge that you would like to share?
The Industrial sector is fast-paced, often running 24 hours a day, so having excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure is the best approach. Understanding that being on hand as and when needed by the companies that operate 24 hours a day is vital to ensure they have the best cover possible. Before working in Industrial recruitment, I worked in compliance and recruitment in London for healthcare clients, helping me gain solid knowledge on the documentation required for various roles and nationalities.

Typically this tends to be local, but I also recruit for some clients nationally for permanent vacancies.
For what types of organisations have you recruited candidates?
I recruit from small-scale companies to large well-known industrial clients. These roles can vary from a Warehouse Operative to a Warehouse Manager and anything in between.
What do you think is a key skill or knowledge required to recruit for the Industrial sector successfully?
It is crucial to understand a client’s needs and business and relay the information correctly to the candidate. Clear understanding and communication ensure I match each candidate to the best opportunity available for them.

What do you think is a key skill or knowledge required to recruit for the Industrial sector successfully?
It is vital to understand the full job spec, including skills and experience required, before searching for the right candidate. Likewise, understanding entirely what a candidate is looking for in their next job is equally important, so we can best match vacancies with candidates. A candidate's requirements or preferences can be anything from location, salary, parking, or even local amenities.
Any other sector knowledge that you would like to share?
I also help on other divisions such as Commercial and Health and Social Care when I can, to gain a complete 360 understanding of what Top Job Recruitment has to offer.
Coming from a customer service background, speaking with candidates to understand their needs, wants and goals is second nature to me
