Top Job Recruitment are looking for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join a design, manufacturing and installation home interior product company based in Colchester

Job Role:

• Driving a 7.5 tonne or Luton van across the South-East to deliver products to showrooms or houses
• Planning delivery schedules and routes with other transport supervisors
• Helping to load and unload goods in the factory and at the customer’s site
• Making sure loads are safely secured
• Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle check sheets
• Routine maintenance 
• Taking vehicles to and from servicing appointments

Requirements:

• Full CPC training and up to date DQC card
• Full, clean and current driving license
• Over 25 years old (for insurance purposes)
• Excellent driving skills
• Able to leave early morning and flexible working hours 
• Capable to lift and move heavy units
• Knowledge of towns and roads on a South-East of England map 
• Able to work alone and concentrate for long periods
• Able to follow traffic reports and change route if necessary
• Good understanding of safety, on the road and when loading and unloading
• Able to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately
• A reasonable level of fitness to work with loads
• Trustworthiness and reliability
• Have a polite, helpful and willing nature with customers and our team
