Accountant – Part Time, Permanent
Location: Tolleshunt D’Arcy, Essex
Hours: 20-25 hours per week, spread over 5 days
Salary: Pro-rata £18,600 - £23,300 per annum (Full-time equivalent £35,000)

We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturing company based in Essex that specializes in filtration equipment. Due to business growth, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Accountant to join their finance team on a part-time, permanent basis.

About the Role

You will be a key part of the finance function, responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative tasks including:

  • Setting up new suppliers and clients on financial systems

  • Processing purchase invoices and raising sales invoices and credit notes

  • Coding and checking invoices

  • Managing banking transactions and reconciling supplier statements

  • Creating supplier payment runs

  • Maintaining electronic records and filing

  • Corresponding with clients and suppliers to resolve queries

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, VAT regulations, and accounting standards

  • Maintaining foreign exchange rates in the software

  • Supporting credit control activities

  • Assisting the Finance Director with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and VAT returns

  • Conducting internal ISO audits

  • Providing general financial support and advice within the team
