We are currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join an expanding company in Colchester. As an Assembly Technician you will be responsible for constructing small parts and components to create a new product according to the specifications of a client or a supervisor. You will perform diagnostic tests on assembled product to ensure efficiency and conduct adjustments are attended to as needed. You will also provide manual instructional guides for product use and troubleshooting procedures and must be knowledgeable about the technology and mechanical industry, as well as have the ability to analyze designs as a guide for creating high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform soldering activities as required
  • Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
  • Develop assembly and test procedures to promote production of quality products.
  • Monitor the functioning of all equipment and report any problems or substandard condition to the supervisor.
  • Perform equipment assembly according to engineering drawings.
  • Perform pre-assembly activities.
  • Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products.
  • Perform repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
  • Stock materials and supplies to avoid materials shortages.
  • Receive, unload, unpack and transfer materials to different workstations.
  • Maintain work area clean, safe and orderly.

Salary: £22,000 per annum

Permanent Contract, Monday- Friday between 7.30am-4.30pm, 37.5 hours per week
