We are currently seeking a Building Maintenance Facilitator to work for a large Manufacturing company in Clacton.

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

To carry out repairs and maintenance tasks and DIY duties in order to ensure the buildings/grounds provide a safe working environment for employees.                                      

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
  • Sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for major repairs
  • Move furniture and equipment as required.
  • Maintain a tidy and professional working environment in all areas inside and out.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A general knowledge of maintenance and grounds work
  • Ability to carry out repair and maintenance work with expertise in DIY
  • Ability to priorities and manage a workload efficiently and independently
  • Awareness of the requirements of health and safety requirements and good practice relevant to the duties of the post.
  • Ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload, whilst ensuring that lower priority work is kept up to date
  • Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with any unexpected problems that arise
  • Ability to demonstrate good inter-personal skills to communicate with a range of people
  • Numeracy, literacy and communication skills
  • Quick to learn with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Highly motivated and proact
Salary: £24-£26k per annum
Working Hours: Monday- Friday Full Time Hours
