Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Business Development Manager for a company based in the Care Industry.

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Team: Business Development

Reporting to: Managing Director

Location: Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire

Main purpose of job:

To deliver realistic sustainable growth across the division through a localised business plan

To work in conjunction with the Head of Business Development and the Managing Director of the operating businesses to deliver the agreed business development plan.

To work alongside and support the Division team with the delivery of their Supported Living Service Specification and Model.

Develop, build, and maintain a professional network within the sector that enable us to enhance our approaches and apply innovation across the group.

To encourage, nurture and formulate relationships with our stakeholders.

To work in conjunction with the team to ensure maximum occupancy is maintained by generating enquiry and referral sources.

To manage reporting and data in relation to voids, new business revenue and growth.

Skills & Experience

  • An experienced Operator in Supported Living Services, with a sound understanding of the future of social care and its service models.
  • Experience of working with Housing Partners/Associations, Housing Benefit teams and Specialist Supported Housing.
  • A thorough understanding of conditions and diagnosis within our target markets and the ability and experience of formulating detailed outcome-based assessments and costings.
  • An excellent understanding of the market environment and of the services provided by the Group.
  • A natural and thorough understanding of marketing principles
  • Work to set Key Performance Indicators and Targets
  • An understanding of the Social, Political and Regulatory landscape that influence the market.
  • An appropriate professional qualification and or a minimum of 5 years sector experience at Management Level.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Able to manage relationships with tact and diplomacy.
  • Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills
  • Able to produce and respond to detailed written and oral communication in an office setting.
  • Able to use standard applications to process, obtain and combine information e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, mail merge, and databases.

PROACTIVE SUPPORT

  • Be an ambassador for the Group and the Operating business and uphold the Group Vision and Values.
  • To ensure that the people we support have a positive experience during the assessment process and we develop high quality and a sustainable pathway for people into our services.
  • To ensure person led services are at the forefront of new service design and that the principles of coproduction are at the core of new service delivery.
  • To work alongside each area/regional manager supporting them to unlock any barriers to growth in relation to voids in their region and to ensure clear plans for the fill of each void feeds into the local business plan.
  • To take an active role in referral generation across all areas of the business, track monitor and assist with the conversion of referrals in the pipeline.
  • To work as required on the practical completion of actions in the localized business plans.
  • To support the Operating business with the completion of assessments and referrals as required and the formulation of costings in line with expected timescales.
  • To monitor Referral and Tendering Inboxes across Division and ensure all new opportunities from Frameworks are identified and Actioned.
  • To work positively with our Housing Partners and support the smooth transition of people into Division services, including liaising with the housing officer in line with the service level agreement.
  • Proactively identify leads in Partnership with Operational colleagues for new business opportunities in conjunction with Commissioners, Social Workers, generating dynamic referral pathways.
  • Contribute to Business Cases for new service concepts and developments at a local level.
  • To work alongside other support teams to ensure a well thought out and holistic approach to growth.
  • Facilitate visits to properties and services as and when required for people who we may support in the future, their families, and professionals.
  • To work alongside the Property Support Team and Operational Team to deliver New Build Projects on time and in conjunction with all key stakeholders.
  • Attend Senior Management Meetings in the Operational Businesses and attend Team meetings within the Business Development Function
  • A contribution to tendering and framework submissions across the group and the support and or completion of Expressions of Interests where required. Representing the business at tender interviews and presentations as required.
  • In conjunction with Marketing contribute to online and offline marketing plans with a focus on the promotion of new services and the engagement of our key stakeholders.

Governance

  • To contribute and collate the data collection of all voids, referrals, occupancy, and new business revenue and that it is reported on time for each Operating business.
  • To maintain and contribute to the regional and national customer database.
  • Supporting the Operations team with development and implementation of new Services, to use and implement ‘toolkits’ where these are requested by the Operating business.
  • To develop, share and administrate an events calendar to maximise the company’s exposure to stakeholder engagement across the group for events such as provider forums, national and regional roadshows, events and seminars.
  • Attend Internal and external events relevant to the role sharing best practice learning and knowledge throughout the group.

Reactive Support

  • Work alongside the support team to ensure they have adequate and well managed resources to be responsive to opportunities as they arise and that can be deployed without delay.
  • Advice & Guidance: Providing expert advice & guidance sharing learning across the group.
  • Supporting at Local level by working alongside teams in response to regulatory contract or concerns with purchaser
