Court of Protection Paralegal – Join a Growing Private Client Team

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Court of Protection Paralegal to join their busy Private Client Department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where you'll work on a varied caseload while making a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable clients.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Solicitors, you will provide legal and administrative support across a range of Court of Protection matters, assisting with the day-to-day management of client files while delivering an exceptional standard of client care.
This is a varied position combining legal, administrative and client-facing responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and compassionate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day management of Court of Protection files.
- Draft legal correspondence, documents and routine applications.
- Prepare court applications, bundles and supporting documentation.
- Conduct legal research where required.
- Liaise professionally with clients, families, medical professionals, local authorities and third parties.
- Manage diaries, appointments and key deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records using the firm's case management system.
- Support Solicitors to ensure files progress efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, GDPR, AML procedures and internal policies.
- Deliver a professional and compassionate level of client care at all times.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience assisting with Court of Protection matters (essential).
- Previous legal or professional office experience.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A full, clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel for client visits (essential).
Desirable:
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
- Experience working within a Private Client department.
- Knowledge of legal case management systems.
