Job Title: Customer Order Coordinator

Hours & Salary

  • Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Additional Information

  • Due to the location of the office, which is on the outskirts of Colchester a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is preferred.

Overview
Our client is looking for a highly organised and proactive Customer Order Coordinator to join their growing team in a fast-paced environment. This role is key to ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently while providing strong support to an external sales team. The ideal candidate will be confident juggling multiple tasks, prioritising workloads, and maintaining excellent attention to detail under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders from receipt through to completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Act as a main point of contact for order-related queries from customers and the external sales team, via phone and email
  • Support the external sales team with order updates, pricing queries, documentation, and general administration
  • Manage and prioritise a high volume of tasks in a fast-moving environment
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems in line with company procedures
  • Monitor order progress and proactively flag any delays or issues
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer service, order processing, or sales support role
  • Highly organised with strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team
