Top Job Recruitment are currently looking for a Children’s Home Deputy Manager specialising with EBD and Challenging Behaviours for our client based in Harwich.

This is a brand new service and is an exciting opportunity which will require someone with strong knowledge with Young People with Emotional Behavioural difficulties 

You will need to be confident at running a residential setting to Ofsted regulations and Maintain a Good to Outstanding rating consistently.

Job role

  • To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  •  To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people
  •  To undertake direct work with Children and young people as appropriate
  •  Development & performance management
  •  Maintaining staff training and Ofsted requirements
  •  Working with the local authorities for placing service users into their service appropriately
  •  Overall running of the home including budgeting and service user satisfaction

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience as a Senior/ Team Leader within a Young Peoples Service ages 8 -18
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted Regulations
  • Level 3 Qualification in Leadership & Management and willing to study towards Level 5  (Children & Young People)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
