Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Deputy Manager for a Therapeutic Children Home based in Sandy, Bedford.

The home provides therapeutic residential care which focuses on understanding and addressing the underlying needs of young people rather than on their behaviours and difficulties.

If you are empathetic, committed, compassionate and passionate and want to work with children and young people who are from dynamic backgrounds, cultures, ages and gender then this could be the role for you.

Job Role:

  • Support young people to grow in all areas of their lives
  • Work towards emotional stability for the young people
  • Ensure that the objectives are met at all times & embracing the organisation's therapeutic ethos.
  • Work within the policies and procedures set out in the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Contribute to nurturing a homely, caring, therapeutic environment in which young people can learn social and interpersonal skills
  • Work a 12-hour day shifts working a 36 hour week with a minimum of one-night shift per week paid at £104 per night
  • Attendance at staff meetings and group supervision

Skills Required:

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care - Children & Young People – Essential
  • Experience supporting a Registered Manager with risk assessments, rota planning in a senior post.
  • Experience with Youth work, Psychology, Criminology or working with vulnerable teenagers in the community or within a residential setting is essential
  • An Enhanced Disclosure check will be completed and will be required to remain on the update service.
  • A passion for working with young people
  • Focused on developing relationships with young people enough to create change
