Top Job Recruitment are currently looking for a Deputy Children’s Home Manager specialising with EBD and Challenging Behaviours for our client based in Tiptree. 

Salary- up to £26,000 per annum

You will need to be confident at supporting the Registered Manager of the young people’s residential setting to Ofsted regulations to maintain a Good to Outstanding rating consistently.

Job role-

Assisting the Registered manager in overseeing day to day running of the home including arranging staff rotas, controlling activities of the home and dealing with any incidents or complaints throughout.

Ensuring the young people take an active role in contributing to the home and taking in any of their views and concerns. 

Ensuring staff communicate effectively with the young people, ensuring the young peoples views are taken into consideration. 

Make certain all the young people spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs are met. 

Ensuring all staff complete any relevant training and all certificates are kept up to date. 

Deputise for the Registered Manager, covering any leave or holiday when needed.

Facilitating inspections visits from regulatory bodies and routine regulation inspections ensuring all relevant information is accessible and easily available. 

Desirable:

  • Experience as a therapeutic team leader or EBD Manager/Deputy Manager.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification.

Essential:

  • Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of Ofsted regulations.
  • Experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Current Knowledge of childcare and child protection laws.

To work as a deputy manager with our client you will need to be someone who is positive, career driven, energetic and self motivates with outstanding leadership skills, has a child centred approach and generally want to make a difference to a child everyday life.
