Job Advert – Die Maker
Location: Rural Essex, near Colchester

We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established and respected manufacturer of high-quality dies and machinery that supplies a global customer base. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a talented and dedicated Die Maker to join their skilled production team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a specialist manufacturer known for its precision, craftsmanship, and commitment to excellence. The company operates from a modern workshop based in the beautiful Essex countryside, just outside Colchester.

The Role:
As a Die Maker, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient production of brass and magnesium dies. This is a hands-on role, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern machinery to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate a range of die-making machinery including CNC engraving, chemical etching, grinding, and polishing equipment
• Perform detailed manual finishing, deburring, and hand tooling to achieve a flawless finish
• Carry out quality checks at every stage of production to ensure precision and consistency
• Assist with machinery maintenance and calibration
• Collaborate closely with the design and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and project delivery
• Identify and resolve issues during production to maintain schedules and quality standards
• Some physical lifting will be required

• Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Commitment to producing high-quality work and continuous improvement
• Awareness and adherence to workshop safety procedures
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, tooling, or precision engineering environment would be advantageous
