Job Title: Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: Essex, East and North London, some South London, with occasional travel further afield
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are partnering with a leading fire safety provider to find a Fire Alarm Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a role involving servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and installation of fire alarm systems across a broad geographic area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing & Maintenance: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing for a variety of fire alarm systems, both small and large-scale.

  • Fault Finding: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with fire alarm systems to ensure effective solutions.

  • Wiring Integration: Work with relay wiring and input connections for system integration and configuration.

  • Client Interaction: Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and professional interaction with clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Strong background in servicing, fault finding, and maintaining fire alarm and AOV systems.

  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of fire alarm systems, including advanced fault diagnostics and independent problem-solving capabilities.

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in configuring cause and effect programming on advanced fire alarm systems.

  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with both clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving License (Essential)

  • FIA Qualifications or equivalent (Desirable)

  • Solid knowledge of current British Standards in fire alarm systems

Hours & Travel

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

  • Travel time compensated (excluding the first and last 30 minutes of each journey)
