We are currently seeking an immediately available Financial Accountant/ Controller to work for a Law firm in Colchester on a 2 month Temporary Contract.

Working Hours: Monday- Friday 9am- 5.30pm with 1 hour lunch

Start Date: Immediate

Hourly Rate: £25 per hour

The person required is a law-firm experienced financial accountant/controller who can come in and assist with updating all the various accounting requirements, including (but not limited to):

• Accounts preparation to extended trial balance level
• Profit and loss and balance sheet preparation (not statutory reporting)
• Accruals/prepayments review
• Time-based work in progress calculations
• Post-merger reconciliation of respective party balances
• Partners current accounts including drawings calculations
• Revenue/capital split of postings
• Analytical review
• Cash flow forecasts (we have these but they require detailed review/linking to budgets we are preparing)

You must have an understanding of law firm/partnership accounting.  Preferably from a practice background (i.e. working in a firm of accountants so you know how to put a set of partnership accounts together)
