Top Job Recruitment is recruiting and experienced Bendi Flexi Forklift Driver and Warehouse Operative for our client based on the outskirts of Witham.
About the Job:
The Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the Team Coordinators and Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to and the highest standards of customer service and operational efficiency is maintained.
These are intended to provide examples of responsibilities and are not exhaustive.
- Loading and unloading goods from deliveries
- Check for damaged or missing items
- Accepting incoming goods and comparing them with the shipping document (Material number, description, quantity)
- Checking incoming goods for visible damage or infestation, documenting, and providing the information as required.
- Storing goods in warehouses using manual processes or MHE
- Checking the equipment is in good working order
- Making sure any loads are safe and secure
- Tidying and stacking empty pallets
- Pick and pack orders for dispatch
- Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck
- Load goods for dispatch
- Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system
- Carry out stock counts as and when required
- Manage, complete, and keep paperwork to the required standards
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
- Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
- Other General warehouse duties
About you:
Qualification and Certificates
Where required holder of a clean UK driving licence holder and a suitable forklift and other MHE licence(s).
Demonstrates a hands-on commitment to getting the job done whilst adhering to deadlines.
Flexible approach to cover a variety of areas within the warehouse operations and in accordance with shift patterns, providing cover when required.
- Ability to work accurately and methodically.
- Good numeracy and IT skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock items
- An understanding of health and safety requirements
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks
- Good understanding of customer service and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
- Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
- Applies experience and logic.
- Is self-aware, resilient, optimistic and open to change.
- Shows moral courage, openness and honesty and has a collaborative approach when dealing with others.
Working Hours:
8am – 5pm Monday to Friday
Starting Salary £11.00phr
This will be a full time position which will start by working via Top Job Recruitment LTD but can lead to a permanent position for the right applicant, shining star.
