Top Job Recruitment are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to work at a Residential Care Setting based in Northleach, Cheltenham.

The company provide the best residential, nursing, and palliative care in a lovely environment and aim to be one of the best homes in Gloucestershire.

If you pride yourself on personal needs of elderly residents in a way that respects their dignity, choice and promotes independence then this could be the role for you.

Job Role:

  • To provide the best possible care environment by promoting a warm, friendly, and homely atmosphere.
  • Bring to the attention of the manager of the home any matter, which will improve health & safety within the home.
  • Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting
  • Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities
  • Promote mental and physical activities
  • Take an active part in meetings.
  • Read and write reports.
  • Ensure all records are kept up to date
  • Undertake training as required.
  • To comply with Health & Safety, COSHH and Fire regulations
  • Abide by the policies and procedures of the home.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience working with people who suffer with Alzheimer’s and Dementia is essential
  • To hold a certificate in dementia training is desirable
  • NVQ Level 2 – Health and Social Care is desirable
  • Hold a full UK licence due to location of the home
  • Be self-motivation, organised, flexible and caring
  • Active team player but also able to work on own initiative
