Top Job Recruitment are looking for Health Care Assistants to work at a Residential Care Setting based in Central Colchester, the home is a great location and has access to regular public transport. 

The company is an established care provider and has different types of services in the UK. The Nursing home in Colchester provides residential, nursing, and dementia care. This extends to people needing nursing care to those with diabetes, epilepsy, stoma care, stroke, heart conditions, Parkinson’s, end of life care, Huntington’s disease, and (PEG).

Job Role:

  • To provide a homely and safe environment for elderly residents so they can enjoy the most independent life as possible.
  • Be able to assist with personal care such as washing, dressing, and toileting and providing assistance at meals times
  • To work collaboratively with other team members in a range of flexible rota arrangements, days nights, weekends and bank holidays
  • Shift patterns are 6- or 12-hour days (8 – 2, 2 – 8 or 8-8) and 12-hour nights
  • You will be committed to training and developing yourself.
  • Bring to the attention of the manager of the home any matter, which will improve health & safety within the home.
  • Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities

Skills required:

  • Previous experience within care (Desirable)
  • To hold a certificate in dementia training (Desirable)
  • NVQ Level 2 – Health and Social Care (Desirable)
  • Hold a full UK license due to the location of the home
  • Be self-motivation, organised, flexible and caring
  • Active team player but also able to work on own initiative
