Sales Executive (Inbound & Outbound)
Location: Colchester
Salary: £26,000 per annum + up to £3,000 performance bonus
Hours: Mon–Thu 8:30am–5pm, Fri 8:30am–4pm
Contract Type: Permanent
Requirement: **Must have own transport due to location**

We are looking for a proactive Sales Executive to join our client’s growing, dynamic team. This is a fast-paced, target-driven B2B role, ideal for someone who enjoys both inbound and outbound sales, managing relationships, and uncovering new opportunities within existing and lapsed accounts.

The Role

As a Sales Executive, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling inbound enquiries, processing orders, and supporting the External Sales team. You’ll also make proactive outbound sales calls, develop customer relationships, and ensure smooth end-to-end order fulfilment. This role is perfect for someone commercially minded, organised, and motivated by targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound sales enquiries via phone and email, providing expert advice and quotations
  • Make proactive outbound calls to existing, lapsed, and prospective customers
  • Process and manage customer orders accurately using CRM and ERP systems
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and key accounts
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities through upselling and cross-selling
  • Support the External Sales team by following up on leads and managing allocated accounts
  • Monitor back orders and coordinate with warehouse/logistics to ensure timely delivery
  • Resolve customer queries and order-related issues professionally
  • Maintain accurate sales and customer records
  • Stay informed about product ranges, promotions, and industry trends

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in internal sales, outbound sales, telesales, or B2B sales support
  • Confident and professional telephone manner with a strong focus on outbound calls
  • Sales-driven mindset with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience using CRM and/or ERP systems is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
