Key Operator/Cutter – Late shift (£10.89 per hour plus shift allowance)

This is an interesting and varied role, giving insight & experience into the different areas of the department and an opportunity for the successful candidate to improve upon their current skill set.

Daily tasks to include

  • To act as a multi-skilled member of the team within the Cutting & Sewing department to ensure that the required resources for the days production are available.
  • Be able to operate the Lectra Cutting machine to lay and cut bulk material.
  • To operate the button machine and complete requirements for the Upholstery department.
  • Overlock scatter cushions and swatches when required
  • Assist Progressor to lay and cut stools when necessary

What you will need to succeed

  • Extensive, relevant workplace knowledge. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • A keen eye for quality and must be manually dexterous
  • To be able to work as part of a team during core hours
  • Must be motivated and have experience of lone working
  • Must be an enthusiastic, committed individual
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work using own initiative and with others
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. As a requirement, the candidate must be able to speak and understand English to a good standard.

What you can expect in return

  • Average 39 hours per week:

Monday to Thursday 3pm - Midnight
Friday 11.00am - 19.30pm
Full training will be given and discussed at interview.
