Top Job Recruitment are currently seeking a Legal Secretary to work on a Full Time basis for a Solicitors in Frinton-on-sea. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with private client experience or strong legal secretarial experience, looking to work in a varied role covering Wills, Probates, LPAs, and general office duties.

The Role:
As part of a small office team, you will provide high-quality secretarial support while also assisting with general reception and administrative tasks. The workload will be varied, providing exposure to different areas of private client work including:

  • Wills – typing and managing documentation, liaising with clients.
  • Probates – assisting with correspondence, documentation, and database updates.
  • LPAs (Lasting Powers of Attorney) – preparing forms, coordinating with clients, and maintaining records.
  • General Reception & Office Duties – answering inbound calls, booking appointments, scanning, filing, and managing incoming/outgoing post.

Key Duties:

  • Typing documents including letters, forms, invoices, and legal documentation.
  • Maintaining and updating client records and databases using company software.
  • Answering inbound and making outbound calls professionally.
  • Collating documents for meetings and consultations.
  • Managing diaries, arranging appointments, and coordinating consultations.
  • General office administration: scanning, filing, sorting, and handling post.
  • Assisting with reception duties as needed.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous legal secretarial experience preferred, particularly in private client work (Wills, Probate, LPAs).
  • Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in typing.
  • Computer literate; experience with Microsoft Office is advantageous.
  • Confident and professional in dealing with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently in a small office environment.

Office Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:15 PM (1-hour lunch break)
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1 hour 15 minutes lunch break)

Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
