Top Job Recruitment are looking for an Extrusion Setter to join one of our Clients based in Clacton-on-Sea, responsible for overseeing duties in relation to the setting and production of screw extruder lines. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, set and run extrusion lines.

• High standard of tool cleaning and rebuilding.

• Lead the extrusion line setting and operations.

•  Monito the process and adjust where necessary

• Communicate with supervisor should any problems arise during production

• Monitoring the quality of the process via product testing equipment

• Transfer polymer to storage racks and load hoppers with polymer

• Start up and shutdown the extruder lines

• Undertake minor running repairs, whilst referring any major breakdown to the engineering department

• Undertake additional duties as requested by supervisor.

Shift pattern:

Hours of working – shift pattern - 2 weeks on days, 2 weeks on nights, 2 weeks on Lates.

Days 6am till 2 30 pm Monday to Friday

Lates 2pm – 10:30 pm Monday to Friday

Nights 10pm – 6:30am Sunday – Thursday

Shift allowance paid between 6pm – 11pm at wage x 1.25 & between 11pm – 6am wage x 1.5

Overtime – available - Saturday x 1.5 - Sunday x2   

Requirements:

• 2 years’ experience Machine setter background (Preferred)

• Experience working in a technical production environment.

• Well-organised, with attention to detail.

• The ability to work well with your hands and to perform the physical aspects of the role.

• Knowledge of extrusion, injection moulding, profile extrusion (Preferred)

• Able to work under own initiative

• Able to work as part of a team.

Package: 

Starting salary: £23,920.00 (Plus shift allowance)
