Top Job Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a growing and ambitious company looking to strengthen its marketing function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in marketing, with genuine scope to develop, take ownership and grow with the business.

The role could suit either a strong graduate with the right attitude, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in marketing, or someone with some existing marketing experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and develop their career further.

For the right graduate, the company will provide structured onboarding and training across its internal systems, products, markets, processes and platforms. You won't be expected to walk through the door already knowing the business or its specialist sectors — what matters is that you are bright, proactive, commercially minded, understand the fundamentals of marketing and have the ability and enthusiasm to learn quickly. The role has considerable scope to develop, with responsibility increasing in line with your experience, capability and confidence.

Role Purpose

To support and increasingly take ownership of the marketing function across the business, working directly with the Managing Director and wider commercial team. The role will cover digital marketing, campaign planning, lead generation, website and e-commerce, product launches, content, email marketing, exhibitions, distributor support and marketing analytics. This is not simply a social media or content role. The purpose of the position is to develop marketing activity that supports the wider commercial objectives of the business, generates opportunities and contributes to growth. The level of responsibility will develop according to the successful candidate’s experience and capability.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning & Campaigns

  • Help develop and maintain the annual and quarterly marketing calendar.
  • Plan and execute campaigns around key commercial priorities.
  • Support campaigns for new products, new markets and strategic partnerships.
  • Coordinate marketing activity with the sales team.
  • Develop targeted campaigns for different customer sectors.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Support and develop digital marketing activity including SEO, PPC, email and targeted campaigns.
  • Develop B2B lead-generation campaigns.
  • Create and manage landing pages and customer journeys.
  • Help develop customer and prospect segmentation.
  • Monitor campaign performance and conversion.
  • Work with the sales team to understand the quality and outcome of marketing-generated leads.

Website & E-Commerce

  • Support the ongoing development of the website and Shopify operation.
  • Manage and optimise product listings and categories.
  • Improve product presentation and customer journeys.
  • Support SEO development and organic search visibility.
  • Monitor online performance and conversion.
  • Identify opportunities to increase e-commerce revenue.

Product Marketing

  • Support the launch of new products and ranges.
  • Develop product messaging and campaign materials.
  • Coordinate product launches across digital, sales and distributor channels.
  • Produce and coordinate literature and sales-support materials.
  • Translate technical product information into clear customer-focused messaging.
  • Support joint campaigns with suppliers and strategic partners.

Content & Communications

  • Manage and develop the company content calendar.
  • Produce professional B2B content across LinkedIn, website, email and other relevant channels.
  • Develop educational, technical and sector-specific content.
  • Develop case studies and application-focused content.
  • Coordinate photography, video and other creative assets.
  • Maintain consistency across company branding and communications.

Sales & Distributor Support

  • Work closely with the sales team on commercial campaigns.
  • Develop marketing materials to support customer acquisition.
  • Support key accounts and distributor marketing.
  • Help create campaigns that can be used throughout the distributor network.
  • Assist with new market and customer-sector development.

Exhibitions & Events

  • Support the planning and delivery of exhibitions, conferences and customer events.
  • Develop pre-event campaigns to generate meetings and enquiries.
  • Coordinate event literature and marketing materials.
  • Support lead capture and post-event follow-up.
  • Help measure the commercial return from events.

Market Research

  • Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
  • Research new sectors, customer groups and opportunities.
  • Identify potential campaign opportunities.
  • Provide relevant market intelligence to the commercial team.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor website and digital performance.
  • Report on marketing-generated enquiries and leads.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitor e-commerce performance.
  • Track SEO and email marketing performance.
  • Develop clear monthly marketing reporting as the role progresses.

The emphasis should be on commercially meaningful results rather than simply followers, impressions and likes.

Candidate Profile

Our client is deliberately open regarding experience level and are more interested in finding the right person with the potential to grow than someone who simply ticks every box on day one.

This opportunity could suit:

  • A strong graduate with a relevant degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications or a similar discipline, who demonstrates initiative, commercial awareness and a genuine desire to build a career in marketing.
  • An early-career marketing professional with approximately 1–3 years’ practical experience who is looking for greater responsibility and the opportunity to develop a broad in-house marketing role

For graduate candidates, placements, internships, personal projects, e-commerce experience or other evidence of practical commercial initiative would be particularly interesting.

We are looking for somebody who is:

  • Proactive and enthusiastic.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Creative but organised.
  • A strong communicator.
  • Comfortable with digital technology.
  • Interested in data and analytics.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Confident contributing ideas.
  • Willing to learn technical products and specialist markets.
  • Able to become increasingly independent as their knowledge develops.
  • Interested in building something rather than simply maintaining an existing marketing function.

Previous experience within our specific industries is advantageous but not essential.

Training & Development

A structured onboarding programme will be provided, particularly for a graduate or less experienced candidate. This will include training and familiarisation across:

  • Internal systems and software.
  • CRM and e-commerce platforms.
  • Products and product ranges.
  • Customer sectors and routes to market.
  • Sales and commercial processes.
  • Brand requirements.
  • Regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Key suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Distributor network.
  • Internal procedures and reporting.

Where appropriate, additional platform-specific or external training can also be provided. We recognise that somebody joining the business will need time to understand the products and specialist markets, and the company is prepared to invest in that development.

Progression

This is an important part of the position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership as their knowledge and capability develop, including responsibility for campaigns, digital strategy, product launches, agencies, budgets, reporting and overall marketing planning. There is genuine scope for the right individual to grow with the business and take significantly greater responsibility for the marketing function over time.

The Person We’re Looking For Ultimately, we are looking for someone with the right combination of ability, attitude, commercial awareness and long-term potential.

You don't need to know everything from day one. What matters is that you are bright, proactive, commercially minded, keen to learn and excited by the opportunity to develop your marketing career within a growing business.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you, Apply today!
