 Top Job are currently seeking a Marketing Manager for a well known Charity in Colchester! This is a permanent role working 30 hours per week, full time hours also avaialbale, with flexible working, some travelling may be required.

Salary £28,000 per annum
Hours: 30 hours a week (flexible on days)

Salary £36,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours a week  

Job Role:

  • To support the Business Unit Manager in the implementation and monitoring of a strategic marketing plan for companies that will raise the lotteries profile, profit and image. Promoting participation in the lottery to individuals and charity and hospice organisations in line with strategic goals.
  • To support the Business Unit Manager on the strategy to reduce attrition rate of lottery players.
  • To action and review the comms plan to ensure this keeps supporters engaged and reduces cancellations.
  • To oversee the further development of the charity’s digital and direct marketing channels to ensure that they meet KPIs and that they provide maximum exposure to new lottery supporters and new hospice

partners.

  • To develop beneficial and lasting relationships with each partnering hospice and to develop new marketing opportunities to promote, increase, retain and recruit new membership, ensuring that information is communicated clearly and accurately across a range of different media.
  • To ensure content on all platforms is kept up to date and refreshed.
  • To implement a new website and comms platform.
  • To ensure all marketing is in line with the Gambling Commission / LCCP guidance.
  • To develop a B2B plan to attract new partners for the charity
  • To be responsible for the preparation and implementation of the charity Lottery marketing strategy which will include the identification of opportunities for raising the profile of both lotteries to new lottery playing supporters and to potential new hospice partners.
  • To lead and manage the marketing team, taking responsibility for the quality of work carried out by all of the marketing team members.
  • To develop and be responsible for the Charity branding ensuring its consistent use and providing support and advice on its business use. To include the development of other branding that the lottery may launch in the future
  • To monitor, evaluate and report on projects/campaigns and to provide regular analysis to the Lottery Executive Manager.
  • To lead on and co-ordinate communication between the charity and to local / national press, in all aspects of Marketing.
  • To lead and co-ordinate all lottery marketing material posted through social media channels for the charity and for all other lottery marketing as required
  • To develop marketing and communication campaigns that encourages longevity of lottery players and addresses player attrition for partner hospices.
  • To manage the design and production of all charity publications including launch materials.
  • To manage Charity website and electronic marketing materials, ensuring their content is updated and accurate and to use web analytics to monitor the performance of the website and produce a quarterly report and make recommendations for improvement.
  • A willingness to travel across Great Britain to attend meetings and to carry out the obligations.
  • Overseeing relationships between suppliers and the lottery marketing team to ensure services/materials are fit for purpose and delivered in line with expectations.
  • Arranging public relations events and functions.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on marketing and communications tools, theory and practice and ensure a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Organising and plan own workload and timetable, keeping the Business Unit Manager informed and ensuring all deadlines are met on time.
  • Ensuring marketing and advertising budgets, as set by the Business Unit Manager, are adhered to.
  • Undertaking ad hoc projects and work as directed by the Business Unit Manager.
