The Planner will be responsible for planning and scheduling of internal manufacturing operations in accordance with customer requirements, the needs of the business, availability of material and production capacity.

 

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Updating and maintaining accurate ERP data to facilitate effective use of the system throughout the business.
  • Understand and manage inventory commitments in the supply chain and stocking levels as they relate to products and demand.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Managers and Operations Management in the development of a demand forecast and a balanced production plan
  • Schedule new requirements in Production, dependent on the availability of material and capacity.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Managers and Operations Management in the development of a demand forecast and a balanced production plan
  • Analyze material consumption and monitoring customer demand patterns to create component / assembly trend data.
  • Use CRM / ERP tools to manage and meet forecasted order demand.
  • Prioritise and assign W/O to production operatives depending on a skills matrix.
  • Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimise delays in production.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checking of day-to-day W/O progress
  • Ensure W/O have been raised and processed in stores.
  • Monitor and resolve shortages on the shop floor.  

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Numerical and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP / CRM/ MRP systems. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
