Top Job recruitment are currently seeking a MID Welder for a well-known Manufacturer in Colchester.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 2.45pm to 11.15pm and Friday 1.45pm to 9.15pm.

Pay Rate: £12.45 per hour

6 month FTC with hight potential to go permanent (you must be immediately available for this role)

Main Tasks

• Carrying out tests and measurements to ensure the companies weighing and measuring equipment is fit for trade in accordance with the Measuring Instruments Directive
• Calibrate and set up Weighing equipment to required standards
• Coordinate Weights and measurement activities with planning and Final assembly
• Verifying faults and abnormalities and determining the level of non-conformity
• Assist in the development and executing of goals related to Weighing and measuring equipment
• Set up printer parameters in order to test and adjust printing standards, for customer requirements including label tests.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Required

• A qualification at intermediate vocational level or equivalent work experience
• Affinity with production and/or assembly technologies
• Technical engineering insight
• Demonstrated and proven Math skills
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Knowledge and experience of operating measuring tools and equipment

 Desirable

• Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at others at operational level
• Knowledge of the business, specific risks and industry approaches advantageous
