Top Job Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established and inclusive early years setting in Colchester, who are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Preschool Manager to lead their preschool team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and dedicated early years professional who thrives in a leadership role and is committed to delivering high standards of care and education in a nurturing, engaging environment.
As the Preschool Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the setting, ensuring sessions run smoothly, staffing levels are met, and the EYFS curriculum is delivered to the highest standard. You’ll work closely with a supportive Room Leader and benefit from having two Deputies on site, allowing for added flexibility such as early finishes and every other Friday off.
Oversee the daily running of the preschool, including staffing, parent communication, and tours.
Ensure all policies and procedures are followed by the team.
Collaborate on planning and delivering a child-centered EYFS curriculum.
Monitor observations and documentation through EYLOG.
Provide leadership and support to staff, volunteers, and students.
Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage safeguarding concerns.
Support children with special educational needs and ensure inclusive practices.
Maintain strong communication with parents and carers.
Contribute to staff supervisions, appraisals, and development.
Essential:
Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., NVQ 3, Preschool Learning Alliance Diploma).
Experience managing or supporting management in a preschool or similar setting.
Strong understanding of child development and EYFS framework.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Confident with Microsoft Office and digital platforms.
Desirable:
Experience working with children with SEN.
Knowledge of curriculum planning and team development.
Resilient, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
