Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Press Break Operator for a manufacturing company based in Colchester.

The company is a global leader and support the production of high quality, safe and affordable equipment by providing software, services, systems, and solutions to industries.

As the Press Break Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out various manufacturing procedures and handling numerous aspects of the work independently

Press Break Operator Job Role:

  • Compliance with supply lead times and standard times
  • Making sure the orders are complete
  • Safe and certified operation of industrial equipment as needed
  • Removal and collection of parts
  • Compliance with the health and safety, environmental regulations and standards as well as adhering to quality control regulations
  • Operating the machine and tools based on the applicable process, operation, control, and safety instructions.
  • Follow prescribed production procedures from the interpretation of work drawings, mounting of materials and turning and milling complex welded compound fabrications, to finishing products in accordance with set norms
  • Initiation of improvements within one’s own area of responsibility. This includes identifying operational difficulties, giving feedback on manufacturability and reproducibility of machines with Manufacturing Engineers and/or CNC Programmers and communicating any faults or deficiencies to the Team Leader.
  • Inspecting articles from proto to 0-series for release of production in collaboration with the CNC Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer

Press Break Operator Skills Required:

  • Experience operating a Press Break Machine
  • Welding experience is desirable
  • Working with people;
  • Problem-solving; approaches difficulties with innovative insight and ability to apply technical expertise to work
  • Result-driven to and focused on meeting customer expectations and fulfilling quality standards
  • Punctuality; ability to keep to schedules, follow instructions, legal obligations and safety requirements
  • Drive to set personal work goals and objectives and the enthusiasm to achieve these
