Overview: We are seeking a skilled Process Improvement Engineer to join our established Client in the Tendring area. You will play a key role in enhancing their production processes, optimizing machinery, and ensuring smooth operations within the facility.

Key Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Expertise: Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles is essential to excel in this role.
  • Electronics/Electrical Understanding: A solid grasp of electronics/electrical systems is crucial for effectively troubleshooting and enhancing machinery functionality.
  • CAD Proficiency: Experience with CAD software such as Autodesk and Fusion Design is necessary for designing and conceptualizing improvements.
  • Pneumatic Circuitry: Strong knowledge and understanding of pneumatic circuits are vital for optimizing machine performance.
  • Manual Machining Skills: Competence in manual machining, including XYZ and Lathe operations, is required for fabricating and modifying components as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Machine Building Experience: Prior experience in machine building would be advantageous for comprehending system integration and scalability.
  • Basic CNC Programming: Familiarity with basic programming on CNC mills and lathes would be beneficial for implementing automated improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Improvements: Utilize your expertise to devise and implement enhancements to production machinery, optimizing efficiency and reliability.
  • Support Breakdowns: Act promptly to support breakdowns, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of modifications, improvements, and troubleshooting activities, providing clear documentation and reports as necessary.
