Top Job Colchester are currently seeking a Procurement Administrator to work for a leading Manufacturer in Severalls, Colchester. This is a Temporary to Permanent opportunity so you must be immediately available to start. To apply you must express an interest in Procurement or have entry level Procurement experience.

Main Purpose of Role:

  • To support the existing procurement team in the day-to-day execution of their duties. The post holder will be required to work flexibly, meeting operational targets in an office environment.
  • Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To provide support to the Procurement Team. To assist colleagues in their duties to ensure that departmental objectives and timescales are met, including the provision of cover in times of absence.
  • To ensure Health and Safety procedures and good housekeeping are adhered to.
  • To assist in the completion of normal operational activities and to undertake any additional duties as reasonably requested by the Procurement Team.
  • Work within the Company systems, ensuring process is followed.
  • Updating of specific internal reports with supply chain related information.
  • Ensure that all non-conformance issues and accounts invoices are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • To contribute and participate constructively in regular departmental meetings.
  • To ensure compliance with purchasing procedures in accordance with prevailing Company policy, operating systems, and business processes.
  • To report and bring to the attention of Senior Management any non-compliance and to make recommendations for remedial action.

Key Skills Required:

  • Good communication skills, both internal and with local and overseas suppliers.
  • Understanding, and where possible experienced in the use of, purchasing tools & techniques.
  • Purchasing and supply chain experience, especially in the area of Expediting and Supply Planning
  • A proactive, enthusiastic team player able to resolve issues to completion.
  • Well organised, capable of working on own initiative, self-starting.
  • Good judgment, planning & prioritization skills
  • Innovative, enquiring & challenging character and thought processes

Working Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 8am- 1pm Friday

Salary: £23000 per annum

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: ASAP
