Top Job Colchester are currently seeking a Quality Inspector for an Engineering Manufacturer in Clacton-On-Sea.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To set-up all necessary component and product characteristics on the SPC System based on part/component drawing
  • To provide extra detailed drawings of components for the following conditions:

(a) Convert imperial to metric

(b) Split drawings for 1st and 2nd operations

(c) Convert multi to single size

(d) Clarification

  • To ensure that there is no delay, in loading the Auto Shop with all necessary:

(a) SPC Data

(b) Part Drawings

(c) Instrumentation and fixtures

  • To ensure that there is no excessive delay in verifying and releasing components for despatch to the customer
  • To monitor the SPC System and to highlight problems with:

(a) Personnel not using information correctly

(b) Software not working correctly

  • To ensure that any infringements from drawings /specifications or procedures are brought to the attention of the appropriate Manufacturing Supervisor
  • To load & close orders on the SPC System
  • When loading orders on the SPC System, ensure that all Gauges & fixtures are:

(a) Set-up to check the correct characteristics

(b) Connected in the correct sequence for SPC checking

Required Capabilities:

  • Have excellent English language skills in both reading and writing
  • Must be observant and detail oriented, with a logical approach to all work undertaken
  • Honesty and High integrity are qualities essential to achieve compliance in this role
  • A technical background in inspection is an advantage

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm

Start Date: ASAP
