Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, UK
Department: Quality Control
Job Type: Full-time Monday to Thursday 7am-5pm
Ideally you will be immediately available to start on Temporary contract with the potential to go permanent. We are seeking someone with a Quality background, with good Maths, Physics & Chemistry knowledge.
Overview:
An established manufacturer based in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join their Quality Control team. This role is ideal for candidates with a technical mindset, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring products meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up component and product characteristics in the SPC (Statistical Process Control) system based on technical drawings.
- Create detailed component drawings for:
- Converting imperial to metric measurements
- Splitting operations into first and second stages
- Simplifying multi-size drawings into single-size formats
- Clarifying ambiguous details
- Prepare and ensure timely delivery of:
- SPC data
- Part drawings
- Required instrumentation and fixtures
- Support timely verification and release of components for customer dispatch.
- Monitor SPC system usage and address issues related to:
- Incorrect data input or usage by personnel
- Software or system malfunctions
- Report any deviations from specifications, drawings, or procedures to the appropriate supervisor.
- Load and close orders on the SPC system while ensuring:
- All gauges and fixtures are set to the correct specifications
- SPC checks are conducted in the correct sequence

- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
- High levels of honesty and integrity
- Previous experience in inspection or a technical background is highly desirable
Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) Responsibilities:
- Work safely and avoid any actions that could endanger yourself, others, or equipment
- Promptly report equipment defects, unsafe practices, or any HSQE risks
- Adhere to all customer and company HSQE standards
