Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Quality Technician for a manufacturing company based in Colchester.

The company is a global leader and support the production of high quality, safe and affordable equipment by providing software, services, systems and solutions to industries.

As the Quality Technician you will provide support to all the suppliers and departments of the Supply Chain location in relation to the improvement and assurance of the quality of their products and services.

Quality Technician Job Role:

  • Communicating and explaining the quality system both inside and outside the organization
  • Initiating and organizing the implementation of actions after abnormalities have occurred so that (similar) abnormalities can be prevented
  • Motivating, encouraging, coaching, and influencing new behavioral patterns both within the internal organization and at suppliers
  • Identifying, handling, and coordinating containment actions after articles have been produced either internally or externally that do not comply with the specifications
  • Drawing up and analyzing investigation and control results and the distribution of reports
  • Formulating measurement plans and 3D measurement programs
  • Suspending production and freezing stock if abnormalities are discovered
  • Verifying faults and abnormalities and determining the level of non-conformity
  • Carrying out tests and measurements
  • Carrying out incoming inspections, stock inspections, process inspections, and end product inspections

  • Management and calibration of the measurement equipment
  • Taking the initiative to make proposals for the improvement of quality-related processes

Quality Technician Skills Required:

  • A qualification at intermediate vocational level (MBO) or equivalent work experience
  • Affinity with production and/or assembly technologies
  • Technical and spatial insight
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Knowledge and experience of operating measuring tools and equipment (such as the 3D measurement machine)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
