Top Job are seeking a Registered Childrens Home Manager for a BRAND NEW SERVICE in Wolverhampton!

The service is a freshly refurbished 5 bed house ready to become a warm and caring home with the right manager at the helm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the initial registration of the new service.
  • Assessing and transitioning children into the home.
  • Recruitment of a full staff team.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe, caring a nurturing environment.
  • Lead, manage and support a team of care staff, providing guidance, training and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and best practice guidelines, including Ofsted Standards
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child, promoting their physical, emotional and social development.
  • Manage budgets, resources and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient running of the home.
  • Build string relationships with the children, families, external agencies and stakeholders to support the well-being and development of children.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies with professionalism and sensitivity ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and staff

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial role within a Children's Residential setting
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and best practice and a good track record with Ofsted ratings
