Top Job Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Registered Manager to work in a 3 bedded home in Staple, Canterbury.

A successful candidate will be a positive and outgoing person with enthusiasm to help the Children grow into the best people they can be. They must have a good understanding of time management and be comfortable undergoing reviews with staff working in the home.

Roles and Responsibilities-

  • Ensure the home runs smoothly and the young persons’ primary and developmental needs are a priority.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for young people to feel supported.
  • Liaise with Social Workers, Schools and Therapists regarding the Children living in the home.
  • Set procedures in place in line with government regulations and company policies.
  • Manage resources in the home.
  • Attend court hearings and give evidence when needed.
  • Chair/facilitate meetings as needed with members of staff.
  • Monitor all staff in the home, review staff and give disciplinaries when needed.

 Qualifications and Experience-

  • Knowledge of managing a children’s home.
  • Management qualifications.
  • Basic IT knowledge.
  • Child-related/ social care qualifications.
  • Experience in working with abused children in a residential setting.
  • Experience in managing a team effectively.
