Top Job Recruitment is currently working with a beautiful 6-bed children’s home situated near to Ipswich town center. The home offers medium to long term therapeutic care to children aged 9-17.

A successful candidate will have a nurturing nature while also having a strong understanding of safeguarding vulnerable children.

A support worker’s role is to work as part of a dedicated team to make the house a home.

Role and Responsibilities-

• To be a role model and support the children in daily tasks.
• Encourage the children to do daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
• Help the children with their schoolwork and make sure their education is a priority.
• Light cleaning and cooking duties around the home.
• Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality is a priority.
• Be in contact with professionals regarding the children’s progress in the home.
• Attend key worker sessions.
• Report back to management about any concerns.

Skills-

• Full UK Driving License (Desirable)
• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or willing to work towards.
• Knowledge of safeguarding.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to make a change.
