Job Overview

  • Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 11:30am
  • Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience.
  • Location: Clacton- on- Sea

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Administrator to join our client’s growing team. As a leading manufacturer, they are looking for someone who will play a pivotal role in supporting both the sales and production departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative processes related to customer orders and internal documentation, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

·Accurately enter customer Purchase orders (Pos) into internal system

·Send timely order acknowledgments and confirmations to customers

·Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels.

·Maintain up-to-date records of customer orders and transactions.

· Email invoices to customers upon request from the team members or the finance department.

·Support the sales and production team with general administrative duties such as document filing and record updates.

·Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and documentation.

·Conduct regular follow-up on customer quotes, updating the system with current status and reasons for non-approval where applicable

·Proactively follow up with internal teams to resolve outstanding administrative or order- related tasks.

·Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

·Proven administrative or customer service experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing or technical environment

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., Visual) is a plus.

·Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy

·Strong IT skills and computer literacy are necessary for effective task execution.

·Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are crucial for interacting with clients and team members.

·Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
