Top Job Colchester are currently recruiting for a Sales Coordinator for a for an auto electrical company based in Colchester.

  • The salary is £21k to £22k depending on experience
  • Reporting to Sales Manager

Key Duties:

  • To receive, process and monitor progress of incoming customer sales orders and enquiries.
  • Carry out administrative duties for the Sales Manager.
  • To receive orders by telephone, fax, mail or e-mail and ensure that the customers’ requirements are understood and can be met by the company’s QMS and operating procedures.
  • To liaise with the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, Production or Buying department to confirm customers’ requirements will be met.
  • To input orders into the sales order processing function of the computer system.
  • To ensure customer enquiries are answered satisfactory within defined timescales
  • Check specified outputs from the sales order processing function to ensure customer requirements have been accurately processed.
  • Contribute as required to general administrative and clerical activities for the Sales & Marketing department.
  • To produce the special documentation required by certain markets, i.e. Ministry of Defence and export, to enable successful completion and shipment of customer’s orders.
  • To liase with carriers, forwarding agents and appropriate bodies to ensure the speedy transportation and delivery of customers’ orders. Along with the return of goods sent in error or not required by customers. Also to assist with locating lost or missing parcels.
  • To build an efficient working relationship with their allocated Area Sales Manager and to provide them with a high level of support service
  • Contribute as required to the general administrative and clerical activities of the Sales and Marketing department.
  • To share in the main reception/telephonist function i.e.

To respond to incoming calls within the agreed time interval

To receive all personal visitors to the company’s premises in a courteous but business-like manner.

To ensure that all incoming telephone calls and personal visitors make their appropriate contact within the company.
