Topjob Recruitment are looking for a Sales Administrator to work alongside a leading UK Electrical Manufacturing Company based in Clacton-On-Sea, Essex.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Day to day processing of sales orders, ensuring the accuracy of information entered onto internal systems.
  • Investigation of discrepancies on received orders.
  • Ensuring acknowledgements are issued in accordance with KPIs.
  • Liaise with sales offices, customers and internal departments regarding order updates, including but not limited to.
    • Customer requests for improved delivery.
    • Updates on delays/ changes to acknowledged dispatch dates.
  • Arranging dispatch of orders in accordance with customer instructions.
  • Arrange shipments of sales orders using international couriers (DHL/FedEx etc) / freight forwarders ensuring all documentation complies with shipping guidelines and customer instructions.
  • Ensure export documentation is accurately prepared to meet both HMRC and AEO requirements.
  • Ensuring proof of export and Customs documentation is received, checked and stored within required timescales.
  • Identify and report any areas for improvement.
  • Provide cover for other departments as required, e.g. support.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a sales and shipping environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Awareness of legislative import and export regulations.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative and be willing to assist in other supply chain departments when required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
  • Well-motivated with the ability to show initiative.
