We are recruiting for a Sales Support & Enquiry Coordinator to join a well-established and growing specialist manufacturing business based in the Essex countryside.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining customer service, sales administration and coordination. You’ll be an important part of the sales process, acting as the first point of contact for prospective customers and supporting the wider Sales team from initial enquiry through to order and delivery.
As Sales Support & Enquiry Coordinator, you’ll manage incoming sales enquiries and ensure potential customers receive a prompt, professional and helpful service.
You’ll also provide day-to-day administrative support to the Sales team, helping keep quotations, orders, documentation and customer communication running smoothly.
Monitor and manage incoming website and sales enquiries
Respond promptly to prospective customers and provide initial product information
Qualify new enquiries and pass more technical requirements to the appropriate member of the Sales team
Act as a professional and helpful first point of contact for new customers
Prepare formal quotations and order confirmations
Maintain accurate records of customer enquiries and interactions
Assist with sales documentation, project folders and post-sale administration
Prepare shipping quotations and relevant export documentation
Book transport with hauliers and freight forwarders
Support the Sales team with general administration and coordination
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and confident communicating with customers.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Previous experience within sales support, administration or a customer-facing role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confidence dealing with customers by phone and email
The ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous
An interest in learning about technical products and solutions
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
