School Caretaker
Location: East Bergholt area
Salary: £25,185 - £25,989 (Grade 3, Point 4 – 6)
Hours: 37 hours per week, full time, all year round
Start Date: As soon as possible
Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
This role will initially be offered on a temporary basis via an agency for 12 weeks, which will serve as a probationary period. Following successful completion, the position will become permanent directly with the school.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Caretaker to join a friendly and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running and safety of a school site, including buildings and extensive grounds such as sports pitches and courts.
You will be responsible for:
Ongoing maintenance and repairs
Overseeing contractors and site safety
Waste management
Assisting with school events
Ensuring health & safety records are accurately maintained
Shift Pattern (Alternating weekly):
Monday – Thursday:
Early shift: 07:00 – 15:00
Late shift: 12:00 – 20:00
Friday:
Early shift: 07:00 – 14:30
Late shift: 12:00 – 19:30

A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete a new Enhanced DBS prior to starting
Two satisfactory references will be required
