Senior Data Protection Administrator
Location: Colchester, Essex
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hybrid working available after training

About the Role
The Senior Data Protection Administrator will join a small, dynamic team to support GDPR compliance and manage subject access requests, data redaction, and other data protection tasks. This role is ideal for someone highly organised with a can-do attitude and an interest in developing a career in Data Protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process Subject Access Requests efficiently, maintaining accurate logs.

  • Collect and redact relevant information to share with customers.

  • Handle unsubscribe and right-to-be-forgotten requests.

  • Assist the Data Protection Officer with data breach investigations.

  • Support the creation and maintenance of Personal Data Inventories, Data Protection Impact Analysis, and Legitimate Interest Analysis documentation.

  • Promote awareness of data protection responsibilities across the organisation.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other IT tools.

  • Ability to search and collect data from diverse IT systems.

  • Conscientious, reliable, and able to work calmly under pressure.

  • Confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Legal right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate required).

  • Proof of address and National Insurance number.

  • Ability to attend video interviews as part of the recruitment process.
