The role would be working within a successful Freight Forwarding company with a friendly team of 8 people.
Responsibilities:
Receiving international shipping job that may be air, sea or road.
Liaising with customer regarding costs, delivery and customs clearance information.
Entering shipment details on computer system using Datafreight or Multifreight.
Completing customs entry or appointing customs agent to do so.
Liaising and negotiating with hauliers regarding timed deliveries and costs thereof.
Collating cost information and invoicing customer. Ensure payment of invoices before delivery where necessary.
Providing customers with quotes for individual and ongoing shipments.
Deal with any matters arising from shipments raised by customer, HMRC or customs agents.
The opportunity for some international travel may arise.
Full time - Permanent
Monday- Friday
9am-5pm
Salary: £25,000-£40,000 depending on experience
