Our client based in Colchester is seeking a Chinese speaking Shop Assistant. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Recommend and display items that match customer needs
• Welcome and greet customers
• Manage point-of-sale processes
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Follow all companies policies and procedures

Requirements

• Proven working experience in retail sales
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English and Chinese
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service focus
• Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
• Basic administration skills
• Being a strong team player
• Polite and helpful
• Good with numbers
• Plenty of patience

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 10:30 am-8:00 pm which some weekends required. 

This is a permanent role which will start with a three month probational period through Top Job Recruitment 

Initial salary of £8.72phr rising to between £9.00-£10.00 after probation has been complete.
