Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Storeman for a manufacturing company based in Earls Colne.

If you have Storeman experience and have managed the assets and inventory in a warehouse and have been responsible for undertaking regular stocktake to ensure stores are properly authorised and recorded, then this could be the role for you.

As the Storeman, you would be responsible for ensuring security for all items purchased and stored at the warehouse and facilitates procurement of all stores and will carry out detailed audits and stock control manually and on the company systems.

Storeman Job Role:

  • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; process purchasing orders as required; track orders and investigates problems.
  • Record purchases maintain database, perform a physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Receive, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; label shelves.
  • Process and/or approves invoices for payment.
  • Process and document return as required following established procedures.
  • Establish trusted relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals
  • Ensuring safety and security of all stock
  • Ensure required standards of safety are adhered to and good housing maintained in the work areas. Report any health and safety concerns to the Line Manager or HR.
  • Assist with preparation of shipments process, shipment waybills, and documentation
  • Develop and Improve policy and processes to increase efficiency
  • Measure, minimise and publish obsolete/overstock and ensure that ongoing communication with the relevant teams

Storeman Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing/engineering stores, inventory management, and stock control systems.
  • Excellent IT skills (AX experience desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong English interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Clean drivers’ licence
  • Level of fitness to ensure the ability to handle stocking of shelves
  • Exceptional customer service skills for both internal and external customers
