Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Stores Operative for a manufacturing company based in Clacton- on – sea

Our client is a well known engineering company who manufacture high quality parts for the Defense and Aerospace industry. This is an exciting time to join the respected company to develop your career within the industry.

As the Stores Operative you will undertake necessary tasks for the efficient running and stock accountability for your allocate stores area including packaging and dispatch activities to ensure production schedule is achieve.

Store Operative Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately count material stock and update MRP system following set processes for booking stock in and out for onward distribution to the customer
  • Ensure that supplier data is correctly imputed on the MRP system and details are up to date amending where required
  • Weighing and packing of goods available for dispatch and the generation of all relevant documentation for UK and export orders
  • Storage of raw materials and consumables and the physical movement to work-in-progress factory location
  • Loading and unloading of goods onto and from vehicles
  • Building cardboard and wooden boxes for dispatch purposes
  • Operate all stores equipment – fork lift truck, staple and nail guns, banding/strapping machine
  • Liaison with inspection on appropriate customer complaints
  • Distribution or storage of miscellaneous goods and services to include packaging materials, general consumables, stationery, and mail
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by Line report for which training has been undertaken

Store Operative Skills Required:

  • 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Experience in working in a technical productive environment and in using ERP systems
  • Well-organised, with attention and good general IT skills
  • The ability to work well with your hands and to perform the physical aspects of the role
  • A driving licence. A Forklift licence is an advantage
