Top Job Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced social worker to work in a successful team as a Supervising Social Worker.

Our client is a well-established Children’s service provider which has residential homes and fostering services all over the UK.

A competitive salary is up for grabs of between 32-38k depending on experience. The role is mainly office based in Felsted. The successful candidate will share the client’s commitment to making a positive and long-lasting difference in a child’s life.

 

Job Role-

  • Supervising foster carers in carrying out our client’s ethos.
  • Communicating with Social Workers and other professionals about any safeguarding issues.
  • Providing emotional and practical support to foster carers.
  • Keeping in touch with foster families, social workers, and foster children to make sure everything is as it should be, and all parties are happy throughout.
  • Supporting the children and foster families with contact with birth parents and families. This may mean arranging contact between the children and birth parents to maintain contact.
  • Arranging necessary appointments for the young people such as therapy or learning support and liaising with the foster families regarding this.
  • Report writing and keeping records of the young person’s progression and monitoring how they are getting on in each placement.
  • Making visits to the foster families and the young people to check everything is running smoothly and there are no issues that need to be resolved.
  • Identifying any training opportunities that will help foster carers provide an outstanding placement for the young children.
