Top Job Recruitment are recruiting for individuals on behalf of our client that does not necessarily need any experience and would like to learn and train to be a Support Worker (experience is more than welcome) This will be working with service users, varying from Mental Health issues, Learning Disabilities, Down- Syndrome and any other additional needs. Our client has multiple services in the coastal town of Broadstairs.
Within Harrietsham, our client has 2 residential properties close by, one 8 bed and one 10 bed supporting adults with mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities. Days are spent supporting people to learn new skills or to find the motivation to regain lost skills. This may be shopping, cooking, budgeting, and other daily living skills. You will also be attending community responsibilities, such as medical appointments, attending college or voluntary positions or maybe just popping to town for window shopping and a cuppa.

Job Role
- Supporting individuals with issues ranging from Learning Disabilities, Challenging Behavior, and other mental health issues.
- Part-time / Full time/ bank contract days and night shifts available
- Hours are from 08:00 am to 20:00 pm and they have a variety of shifts available (08:00 am to 15:00 pm, 09:00 am to 15:00 pm, 15:00 pm to 20:00 pm, and night shifts are 20:00 pm to 08:00 am)
- Working with care plans set out to everyone to provide the best quality of care and support
- Always interact with service users to promote independence and ensuring they are always safe; cleaning and record-keeping are required.
Requirements
- Applicants are not required to have any experience as training is all provided on the job, previous experience is beneficial
- Be willing to make a difference to service users and help them become independent
- Good listener and understanding
- Ability to handle challenging situations
- Be compassionate and a caring nature
- Possess good communication skills
