Top Job Recruitment are working with a well-established Rehabilitation Hospital in Colchester and are looking for caring individuals to work either day shifts or nights.

We are currently recruiting a variety of Support Worker roles on either a Temporary basis or straight to a Permanent contract.

The hospital in Colchester specialises in Adults with Brain Injuries and neurobehavioral rehabilitation.

Shift patterns are between 07:30 AM - 07:45 PM or 8:00 AM - 08:45 PM for day shifts and for night shifts they are 19:45 to 07:45.  

Job Role

  • Supporting Adults within a hospital setting in Colchester and preparing them to live independently and live meaningful lives. 
  • Booking and accompanying service users to appointments.
  • Providing practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing, and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Assisting adults with eating and drinking.
  • To assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
  • Following out set care plans to provide the best quality of care.
  • Having fun and making their daily lives as bright as the next!

Requirements

  • Applicants are required to have recent experience providing Care/Support to vulnerable people in the UK.
  • Experience within a residential care setting (care homes, supported living, or nursing home) 
  • Able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
  • Having a kind and caring nature.
  • A Driver with Access to a Vehicle (preferable) or able to commute.
