Top Job Recruitment are looking for experienced Children Residential Team Leader’s to provide support to Young People with emotional, behaviour difficulties and challenging behaviours at a home based in Tiptree, Essex.

If you are dynamic and have the enthusiasm to want to make a difference to children and young people in care and are able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of EBD adolescents, then this could be the role for you.

Job role:

  • Responsible for ensuring a high standard of childcare practice through the day to day running of the home
  • To meet the child’s emotional needs through providing a structured environment
  • Always make decisions in the best interest of the children
  • Liaise with schools, providers and parents
  • Act as key worker for allocated child
  • Do everything possible to uphold a safe, clean environment for residents
  • Safeguard children
  • Responding to the physical and emotional needs of children and at all times
  • Complete day to day paperwork/reports.
  • To lead shifts and supervise Support Workers
  • Ensure home is safe and secure
  • Understand each child’s needs and requirements
  • To adhere to relevant professional and administrative practices and procedures
  • Build and maintain good relationships with the children

Skills required:

  • Must have at least 1-year of experience as a Senior or Team Leader within a Young People residential setting
  • Must have NVQ Level Three in Children & Young People
  • Must have experience Supporting Young People with EBD & Challenging Behaviours
  • A full driving license is required.
