Top Job Recruitment is looking for a Team Leader to work in a Children’s home based in Thanet.

Your main role as a team leader will be supervising a team of support workers to ensure the children receive top-quality care. As well as supporting a team of staff you will be responsible for providing emotional support directly to the children.

A successful candidate will be a positive listener, good at time keeping and committed to providing the best care to the children.

Roles and Responsibilities-

  • Representing the home when it comes to social care vista and strategy meetings.
  • Supervising the support workers in your team.
  • Mentoring the support workers in your team when it comes to training.
  • Follow safeguarding processes and report anything required to a senior member of staff.
  • Helping plan the rota to make sure there is sufficient cover.  
  • Review and update the young people’s placement plans.
  • Ensure all the children’s records are kept up to date.
  • Book and schedule appointments for the children with health and social care professionals.

Qualifications-

  • QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care children and young people or equivalent
  • Up-to date knowledge of childcare in a residential setting
  • Knowledge of equal opportunities & diversity models
  • Knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 & Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations including the Quality Standards
  • At least two years’ experience as a support worker with Children.
